ทั้งนี้ เพื่อลด NPL ลง บริษัทกำลังหารือกับผู้สอบบัญชีเพื่อปรับวิธีการจัดชั้น NPL และ TDR ให้มีลักษณะอนุรักษ์นิยมน้อยลงกว่าเดิมเพื่อรักษาสัดส่วนสำรองฯ/หนี้เสีย (NPL coverage) เอาไว้ไม่น้อยกว่า 100% ซึ่งถ้าหาก KTC สามารถรักษาระดับ NPL เอาไว้ได้ที่ไตรมาสละ 300 ล้านบาท (เหมือนกับในครึ่งแรกของปี 63) สัดส่วน NPL ก็จะพุ่งขึ้นเป็น 9-10% และจะฉุดให้ NPL coverage ลดลงเหลือประมาณ 125% (จาก 157% ในปัจจุบัน)
