ศูนย์วิจัยเศรษฐกิจและธุรกิจ ธนาคารไทยพาณิชย์ (SCB EIC) ระบุว่า ค่าเงินบาทอาจชะลอการอ่อนค่าลงได้ในระยะสั้น หากการดำเนินนโยบายการเงินของ ECB เป็นการพยุงความเชื่อมั่นของนักลงทุนในตลาดการเงินในระยะนี้ อย่างไรก็ตาม ความเสี่ยงของตลาดการเงินโลกที่ยังมีอยู่จากทั้งราคาน้ำมันและค่าเงินหยวน รวมถึงการปรับขึ้นอัตราดอกเบี้ยของสหรัฐฯ เป็นปัจจัยกดดันให้ค่าเงินบาทยังมีทิศทางอ่อนค่า ทั้งนี้ ยังคงประมาณการค่าเงินบาทในช่วงสิ้นปีไว้ที่ 37 บาทต่อดอลลาร์สหรัฐฯ

ขณะเดียวกัน บริษัทยังคงเดินหน้าพัฒนาโครงการโรงไฟฟ้าอย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยเฉพาะโซลาร์ฟาร์มที่ประเทศญี่ปุ่น ซึ่งเป็นไปตามแผนการลงทุนโรงไฟฟ้าในต่างประเทศที่กำหนดจะทยอยสร้างโซลาร์ฟาร์มในญี่ปุ่น 6 โครงการ และยังคงมองหาลู่ทางการลงทุนเพิ่มเติม ในลักษณะของการร่วมทุน ภายในเงื่อนไข EPCO ต้องเป็นผู้ถือหุ้นใหญ่ โดยเตรียมงบลงทุนไว้ประมาณ 1,000 ล้านบาทในปีนี้ สำหรับเดินหน้าโรงการโรงไฟฟ้าในประเทศญี่ปุ่น โดยใช้เงินจากทุนของบริษัท 25% เงินกู้สถาบันการเงิน 75%
