นายแพทย์โอภาส การย์กวินพงศ์ รักษาราชการแทนอธิบดีกรมควบคุมโรค กล่าวถึงกรณีที่มีรายงานข่าวการตรวจพบผู้ป่วยติดเชื้อโควิด 19 ในพื้นที่ชายแดนจังหวัดตาก นั้น  กรมควบคุมโรค ได้มอบหมายให้กองระบาดวิทยา ประสานข้อมูลอย่างใกล้ชิด และมอบหมายสำนักงานป้องกันควบคุมโรคที่ 2 จังหวัดพิษณุโลก (สคร.2 จ.พิษณุโลก) ซึ่งดูแลพื้นที่จังหวัดตาก ส่งทีมลงพื้นที่ทำงานร่วมกับสำนักงานสาธารณสุขจังหวัดตาก และหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง เพื่อดำเนินการสอบสวนโรคและตรวจสอบรายละเอียดเพิ่มเติมในกรณีดังกล่าวทันที
