ส่วนความคืบหน้าการลงทุนโครงการพลังงานสะอาด (Clean Fuel Project :CFP) มูลค่าลงทุน 4,825 ล้านเหรียญสหรัฐ โดยคาดจะเริ่มก่อสร้างในปี 62 และจะแล้วเสร็จในปี 66 ซึ่งโครงการนี้จะช่วยเพิ่มกำลังการกลั่นน้ำมันเป็น 400,000 บาร์เรลต่อวัน จากปัจจุบันอยู่ที่ 275,000 บาร์เรลต่อวัน ทั้งนี้คาดว่าโครงการดังกล่าวจะช่วยเพิ่มกำไรก่อนดอกเบี้ยจ่าย ภาษี ค่าเสื่อมและค่าตัดจำหน่าย (EBITDA) เพิ่มขึ้นปีละ 900 ล้านเหรียญสหรัฐ จากปัจจุบันที่บริษัทมี EBITDA ประมาณ 900 ล้านเหรียญสหรัฐต่อปี
