นายภากร ปีตธวัชชัย กรรมการและผู้จัดการ ตลาดหลักทรัพย์แห่งประเทศไทย (ตลท.) เปิดเผยว่า  ดัชนีตลาดหลักทรัพย์ไทยในเดือนกันยายน 2561 ปรับตัวเพิ่มขึ้นสอดคล้องกับทิศทางของดัชนีตลาดหลักทรัพย์ขนาดใหญ่ในเอเชีย ได้แก่ ญี่ปุ่น จีน และสิงคโปร์ โดยปัจจัยบวกที่สำคัญสำหรับตลาดหลักทรัพย์ไทย ได้แก่ พื้นฐานทางเศรษฐกิจที่แข็งแกร่งอันนำไปสู่การปรับประมาณการการเติบโตทางเศรษฐกิจเพิ่มขึ้น โครงการลงทุนภาครัฐมีความคืบหน้า ประกอบกับกรอบระยะเวลาการเลือกตั้งที่ชัดเจนมากขึ้น

ทั้งนี้ เนื่องจากอุตสาหกรรมธุรกิจขนมอบและเบเกอรี่ในประเทศไทยมีการแข่งขันที่สูงทั้งจากคู่แข่งทางตรงและคู่แข่งทางอ้อม อันมีสาเหตุจาก (1) อุตสาหกรรมขนมอบและเบเกอรี่ในปัจจุบันมีการแข่งขันกันด้านราคา โดยให้ส่วนลด หรือสิ่งจูงใจทางการตลาดกับลูกค้าเพื่อแย่งชิงส่วนแบ่งทางการตลาด (2) อุตสาหกรรมมีผู้ประกอบรายใหม่เข้ามาทำตลาดเพิ่มขึ้น เพราะผู้ประกอบการรายใหม่มีอุปสรรคในการเข้าสู่อุตสาหกรรม (Barriers to entry) ที่ต่ำ ทั้งเงินลงทุนในการทำธุรกิจที่ไม่สูงมากนัก
