นายผยง ศรีวณิช กรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ ธนาคารกรุงไทย จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ KTB เปิดเผยว่า ธนาคารได้ลดอัตราดอกเบี้ยลูกค้ารายย่อยชั้นดี หรือ MRR ลง 0.50% ต่อปี เหลืออัตรา 7.12% ต่อปี โดยมีผลตั้งแต่วันที่ 16 พฤษภาคมนี้เป็นต้นไป รวมทั้งออกโครงการกรุงไทยช่วย SME 4.0 สำหรับลูกค้า SME ทุกกลุ่มภายใต้วงเงินรวม 6,000 ล้านบาท เพื่อร่วมกระตุ้นเศรษฐกิจให้ขยายตัวอย่างต่อเนื่องในทุกภาคส่วน โดยเฉพาะการช่วยเหลือธุรกิจรายย่อยให้มีความเข้มแข็งมากขึ้นสามารถเข้าถึงแหล่งเงินทุนได้ง่ายขึ้น มีต้นทุนการประกอบธุรกิจที่ต่ำลงและเพิ่มความสามารถในการแข่งขัน

อย่างไรก็ตาม ในปี 62 บริษัทได้เจรจากับคู่ค้าบางรายและสามารถบรรลุข้อตกลง โดยเข้าทำสัญญาประนีประนอมยอมความ กับคู่ค้าจำนวน 2 ราย ซึ่งคู่ค้าดังกล่าวได้ยอมรับความผิดตามที่บริษัทแจ้งความร้องทุกข์ และยินยอมส่งมอบวัตถุดิบค้างส่ง จำนวนประมาณ 22,800 ตัน คืนให้แก่บริษัท และเพื่อเป็นหลักประกันการปฏิบัติตามสัญญาประนีประนอมยอมความดังกล่าว คู่ค้ารายดังกล่าวได้จดทะเบียนจำนองที่ดินเนื้อที่ประมาณ 44 ไร่เป็นหลักประกันการชำระหนี้ และมีบุคคลที่น่าเชื่อถือเป็นผู้ค้ำประกันด้วย ทั้งนี้ บริษัทได้ดำเนินการถอนแจ้งความคดีอาญากับคู่ค้ารายดังกล่าวแล้ว
