ผู้สื่อข่าวรายงานว่า เมื่อช่วงกลางดึกที่ผ่านมา (4 ธ.ค.62) เกิดเหตุเพลิงไหม้ที่โกดังเก็บสินค้าของ โกลบอลเฮ้าส์ สาขาลำพูน ซึ่งเป็นห้างของบริษัท สยามโกลบอลเฮาส์ จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ GLOBAL โดยเพลิงได้โหมลุกไหม้โกดังเก็บสินค้าประเภทเฟอร์นิเจอร์ รวมถึงสินค้าอื่นๆ ซึ่งอยู่ติดกับบริเวณตัวห้าง  เจ้าหน้าที่ดับเพลิงต้องใช้เวลาประมาณ 2 ชั่วโมง จึงสามารถควบคุมเพลิงไว้ได้ ส่วนสาเหตุไฟไหม้ครั้งนี้ เบื้องต้นตำรวจสันนิษฐานว่าเกิดจากไฟฟ้าลัดวงจร

โดยนายวุฒิกร สติฐิต รองกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่หน่วยธุรกิจก๊าซธรรมชาติ บริษัท ปตท. จำกัด(มหาชน) หรือ PTT เปิดเผยว่า ท่อส่งก๊าซธรรมชาติของปตท. ที่เดินท่อไปยังนิคมอุตสาหกรรมเอเซีย (สุวรรณภูมิ) ในอ.บางบ่อ จ.สมุทรปราการ เกิดเหตุระเบิดเมื่อช่วงเวลาประมาณ 13.00 น. เบื้องต้น ปตท.ได้ตัดแยกระบบการเดินท่อเพื่อควบคุมก๊าซฯ และอยู่ระหว่างการสอบสวนหาสาเหตุของการระเบิด ซึ่งขณะนี้หน่วยงานด้านความปลอดภัยของ ปตท.ได้เข้าพื้นที่และเร่งแก้ปัญหาโดยเร็ว
