ด้าน น.สพ.วิวัฒน์ พงษ์วิวัฒนชัย อุปนายกสมาคมผู้เลี้ยงสุกรแห่งชาติ กล่าวว่า การปล่อยข่าวลวงครั้งนี้ คาดว่าจะเกิดจากขบวนการปั่นป่วนอุตสาหกรรมการเลี้ยงสัตว์ โดยเฉพาะในช่วงที่ทุกภาคส่วนกำลังร่วมกันแก้ปัญหาราคาเนื้อสุกร เพื่อหวังให้ผู้บริโภคเกิดความวิตกกังวลจนเลิกบริโภคเนื้อหมู ทำให้ราคาหมูตกลงอีก คนกลุ่มนี้ถือเป็นผู้ไม่หวังดี และจ้องปล่อยข่าวลวงเพื่อทำลายอุตสาหกรรมหมู ขณะที่จากประวัติการตรวจโรคทุกพื้นที่ที่มีการเลี้ยงหมูทั่วไทย ไม่เคยพบโรคนี้ตั้งแต่เริ่มเลี้ยงหมูมาเป็น 100 ปี ตั้งแต่ปี 2461 เป็นต้นมา

ส่วนในการชี้แจงในประเด็นการแถลงนโยบายรัฐบาลโดยไม่บอกแหล่งที่มาของรายได้ นายกรัฐมนตรี ระบุว่า ในประเด็นแหล่งที่มาของรายได้นั้น เมื่อวันที่ 25-26 ก.ค.62 รัฐบาลได้แถลงนโยบายต่อรัฐสภา ทั้งนโยบายหลัก 12 ด้าน และนโยบายเร่งด่วน 12 ด้าน โดยได้มีการกำหนดถึงแหล่งที่มาของรายได้ในการดำเนินนโยบายไว้ ดังนี้ 1. แหล่งเงินที่มาจากงบประมาณรายจ่ายประจำปี และ 2. แหล่งเงินนอกงบประมาณ เช่น การกู้เงินเพื่อการพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจและสังคม, การให้เอกชนเข้ามามีส่วนร่วมในการลงทุนกับภาครัฐ (PPP) และกองทุนรวมโครงสร้างพื้นฐาน เป็นต้น
